Can I feel safe with your employees at my home or business?  

Yes!  We use a careful screening process which entails 2 interviews, checking all references and prior places of employment, performing a nation wide criminal background check through ADP, and a drug screening check at US Health Works for all of our painters.  Surveys and testimonials are collected from each client after the painting job ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.  In addition, many of our painters have attended safety classes provided to us through our trade association, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and Genesis Safety Consultants.

When I call, will I have to speak to a machine?  

Sometimes.  In the event that we have stepped away from our phone, you can expect a return call within 24 hours. 

Are you a legitimate company who is insured? 

Yes!  Matthews Painting is an active member with the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.  We are also members with our trade association, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.  We use our own employees, not sub-contractors, who are covered by a 2 million dollar general liability insurance policy and workmen’s compensation insurance.  We are also an Indiana registered painting firm who has been in business for 13 years!  See Associations+

If there is a problem, can I speak with the owner? 

Absolutely, in fact Jason Matthews is eager to make sure customers are happy and will gladly share his cell phone number with his clients.  In addition, a note is left each evening at the end of the day so you know what was completed.  This note also has a section for you to mention any concerns or questions you may have so the our foreman painter can address those the following working day.

My last painter would work for a few days, and then was gone for a couple days. Always starting and stopping. Will you stay on the job once you begin? 

Yes! Once the painting begins, we'll stay with the project and work until your painting is completed, weather permitting.  The same foreman painter will work on your job from start to finish. In addition, we can give you an approximate completion date prior to starting your interior or exterior painting, staining, drywall repair or pressure washing project.

I've had bids before, and I get some prices that are all over the board. Why? 

The cost of a job is usually determined by the level of thoroughness, attention to detail, and quality desired. For example, it costs more to employ expert craftspeople who properly prepare a surface for painting and protect surrounding non paint areas than to give things a “quick once over" by an inexperienced painter. We decided years ago to charge a little more rather than deal with all the headaches that cutting corners costs.  We’ve now completed nearly 1000 homes and businesses in the area with our repeat and referral clients averaging over 75% of our business. See Testimonials + 

What if I need help with colors? 

Jason Matthews, the owner of Matthews' Painting, can provide you with a color consultation and even provide you with much larger samples than are typically found at most paint stores.  We also have a color visualizer on our residential painting and staining page for your interior or exterior project where you can actually upload a photo of your own house or room or pick a room or house similar to your own and put actual Sherwin Williams colors on the wall or house siding.  We also have a deck visualizer on our deck staining and sealing page which can assist you in choosing your deck color.
