• Landscaping should be pruned back a minimum of 18" from the areas we will be pressure washing, painting or staining to allow our painters access to perform the work. 


• All smaller items not fixed to your home should be removed prior to the pressure washing, painting, or staining.


• Our painters will need a location to setup paint tools and supplies.    A garage, shed, or sun porch is suitable.


• The employees at Matthews' Painting Company are both skilled craftsmen and respectful painters who have been trained to be neat, courteous and professional.  There will be no smoking, inappropriate language, or loud music on site.  Our painters will strive for minimal disruption of household activities.  Learn More +


• Our painters start work early so they can leave before the dinner hour.  7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. are the normal starting times.  This allows our painters to leave by 6:00 P.M.  Our lead painter will keep you updated daily on the progress.


• Our painters will have canvas drop cloths around the perimeter of your home during the entire job.  They will remove the cloths nightly on sidewalks and entries, but may leave them near the foundation.  Plastic on selected areas of the house will stay up until the painting is complete.


• Please recommend the best location for us to be able to get water.  If a bathroom is available for us to use, please let our lead painter know on the day the project begins.


• The painters tidy up the job site daily.  This includes keeping the painting  tools and ladders in one location and making a final inspection for trash at the end of the day.


• If you want to add work during the project, our painters have an additional work request form that you may sign to authorize any additional pressure washing, painting, or staining work you would like to take place.  Your authorization is required for them to proceed.


• At the project completion our painters will place  your remaining paint in a location convenient to you.  Please consider where that may be.


• Convenient and large labels will be affixed to your paint cans to identify the place of purchase, product used, color, and sheen of your finishes.  For future touch-up or re-order these are a time saver and exclusive to Matthews Painting Company.


• In order to ensure that no detail is overlooked, please allow 5-10 minutes at the end of the job to walk around your home with our painter.  You will be asked to schedule this appointment toward the end of your pressure washing, painting, or staining  project.  Our lead painters are instructed to perform this walk through and collect the final payment and survey form prior to leaving your house.
